I added this year’s version of the Management 1102 presentation to the course pages link. Further, I updated the featured resources with the SRDS Lifestyle Market Analyst. If you are in any one of many classes this Fall it is likely you will probably use the Lifestyle Market Analyst.
This morning I noticed a person wearing a tee-shirt with a very strong opinion boldly plastered across the front and the back. I guess it really got to me, and in a bad way. Rather than make a negative example of this particular student’s tee-shirt let me encourage people toward tolerance. The Villanova Center for Peace and Justice is a place where students can learn about and be involved in promoting “world peace and social justice”. Also, the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies, established at Villanova in 1983, might help people on campus to better understand the people, culture, and religions found in the Middle East.
So speak up if you see your classmates or friends ridiculing a religion or a group of people, and challenge them to become better people.

World Religions Day celebrates diverse religions on campus through a Fair and Forum which educates and informs the University community of various religious traditions and faith opportunities open to all our students.
Our newest member of the Business team, Linda Hauck, will be holding office hours in Bartley 2008 on Friday mornings from 9a - 1pm. Starting in two weeks, on September 25th, Linda will also be in the office on Monday’s from 9-1pm as well. Her appointment calendar will be available soon. In the mean time, she is available by email.
I added a link to the CQ Researcher on the databases by title list. This resource “…offers in-depth, non-biased coverage of political and social issues, with regular reports on topics in health, international affairs, education, the environment, technology and the U.S. economy. Each CQ Researcher report is based on a common structure: overview, background, current situation, pro/con section, special focus, chronology, bibliography and next step.”
Finally, thanks to help from Andrew Nagy, the new BBIC blog is live and will replace the older what’s new pages. This archive will reflect all updates and new developments from the library as they impact the school of business. Comments are encouraged as well.

Also, the Bloomberg Laptop, formerly available in Falvey Library, is now available at Bartley 2008 during my normally scheduled office hours.
